Hemp seeds are a complete protein. This Hemp Milk is an excellent source of Omega 3 and 6 and rich in Vitamin E. It’s also completely nut-free for those of you with nut allergies, including coconut allergies.
You can use hemp milk to replace all other milks. Simply replace hemp milk with a 1:1 ratio in all your baking recipes, soups, no-oat oatmeal, and even your coffee.
This recipe is much faster than traditional nut milks that require 12-24 hours of soaking prior to blending and straining to create the milks. Since you don’t have to soak hemp seeds, this recipe can be made in under five minutes – start to finish.
Makes 1 cup milk
- 1/3 cup raw, shelled hemp seeds
- 1 cup water
- Place all ingredients into a blender and blend for 1 minute or until seeds are blended and milk is frothy.
- Place milk into a closed container and store in the refrigerator

This Hemp Milk pairs well with my No-Oat Oatmeal and adds an added protein punch to this traditional breakfast.
