Starting a Paleo lifestyle can be very daunting and may initially feel extremely restrictive.  With this Paleo  Flour blend, you can enjoy baking cakes, cookies, pies, breads, and anything else you can dream up.

Paleo Flour Recipe

I have found through years of experimentation the best ratio of flour to starch that creates the most diverse Paleo flour.  The ratio I recommend is a 70-30 ratio of flour to starch, which is detailed below.

70% Flour

30% Starch

1-Pound Flour by Weight

Simply combine the fours and starches of your choosing from the list above to equal the desired weight.  You can easily double or triple the recipe as needed based on how often you use the blend.

If you take the above percentages and apply them to a weight, you get the following amounts per one-pound of flour.

  • 11.2 ounces of flour
  • 4.8 ounces of starch

If you don’t have a food scale, this one from Etekcity is a great starter and comes at a very reasonable price.

Flour Storage

It depends on how much you make and how often you use it.  If you use it often enough, storing your Paleo flour in the pantry is perfectly fine.

If you don’t use the Paleo flour very often – longer than a few months – store your Paleo flour in the refrigerator or freezer.
